Frolic - A mini-weekend of 3 contra dances PLUS ECD
Join us for a fabulous three-dance event on January 8 & 9 in the spacious community center of St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church in Chandler, AZ. Dance to one incredible band and your favorite caller with 9 hours of contra from Friday evening to Saturday night. We may also offer the option of a musician masterclass or English Country Dance on Saturday morning!

Jeremy Korr is a popular bicoastal caller, based in Southern California most of the year and in Eastern Massachusetts during the summer. A second-generation dancer, Jeremy has been dancing his whole life, and has been calling contras and squares around the country since 2003 and children and family dances since 1993. Jeremy is acclaimed for his fun dances, efficient walkthroughs, precise calling, and community spirit.

Root System, a trio comprising Anna Patton (clarinet), Amy Englesberg (piano & accordion) and Audrey Jaber (fiddle), is a lively contra dance band that blends traditional and modern rhythms, creating an energetic and engaging sound for dancers. In the contra dance world, their sound draws from old-time, Celtic, Quebecois, and Swing music, with a mix of familiar and fresh new tunes.
